The wine history of Domaine Long-Depaquit dates back to 1128 France, when Cistercian monks at the Abbey of Pontigny built a cellar and began cultivating vines around the site of the present day Chateau. In 1968 it was purchased by the Bichot family which expanded the holdings to 70 hectares of prime vineyards. Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar 89 points: Pale yellow. Aromas of peach and apricot, complicated by menthol, crushed stone and a cyanic peach pit note. Rich and ripe but not at all heavy, with a lovely floral quality to the stone fruit flavors. More shapely and gripping than the young '06, but still a fruity and supple style.
