Domaine des Baumard Savennieres Chenin Blanc 2004

This dry and full bodied white wine is 100% Chenin Blanc and comes from a south facing vineyard located between the Clos du Papillon and the Roche aux Moines slope in France's Savennieres Appellation. The color is pale gold with green or grey tints when young, and evolves to more gold with aging. This wine ages slowly and wine lovers tend to keep old vintages. This wine matches well with cooked fish, smoked salmon and even asparagus.
