Stephen Tanzer 90 points : Bright, pale yellow-green. Aromas of lime ice, anise and toast, plus a hint of marrow; not a fruity style. Weighty but dry, with taut flavors of citrus peel, menthol, stone and spices. This baby is uncompromisingly dry but is too rich to call austere. Winemaker's Notes: The nose is tropical - banana peel, pineapple tart, and a bit of effervescent lemon. On the palate, more lemon character is joined by a hint of white peaches, and the subtlest vanilla. The hallmark fresh acidity is in form here. This Chardonnay will go beautifully with roasted chicken. Alcohol 14.5%.
