Wine Spectator 93 points: Like a Persian carpet this lovely, elegant Champagne seamlessly weaves together its elements, with fine-grained texture and vibrant acidity joining rich flavors of toast, patisserie fruit and candied lemon zest that show subtle spice notes of cardamom and ginger. Drink now through 2020. 2,000 cases imported.
Wine Enthusiast 93 points: A great wine, much more than only a Champagne, this is impressively rich and ripe, with crisp yellow fruits, spices and layers of toast. Itís in an opulent style that is round but also very focused on tight layers of fruit, minerality and final vivid acidity.
The Wine News 93 points: An attractive bouquet of cooked peaches, charred oak and minerals. A well-toasted triad of tropical fruit flavors including grilled pineapple, baked apple and peach. Lengthy, honeyed finish with the perfect amount of toast.
Wine & Spirits 92 points: True to its designation, this includes up to 40 percent reserve wines in the blend, which contribute a comforting richness to contrast the bright, green apple fruit. It has a plump, ginger cream flavor, the acidity chalky and dry enough to make that plumpness austere. Great with oysters, especially Alaskan oysters.
International Wine Cellar 91 points: Yellow-gold. Pungent aromas of orange pith, apple and yellow plum, with subtle nuttiness and a touch of baking spices. Ripe but lively on the palate, offering juicy orchard fruit flavors and a jolt of tangy citrus zest. Offers a harmonious blend of richness and energy, finishing with very good clarity and spicy persistence.
Winemaker's notes: Experience a fully developed wine, with a radiant bouquet that is captivating yet subtle. Although notes of fully ripe fruit, such as nectarines and cherry plums, are apparent initially, the finish reveals the wealth of the gourmet world, hinting at nougat, honey and cereal grains. This wine is remarkably smooth and generous on the palate. Three years of maturation have given it body and substance. As the wine opens up, it is full and intense with notes of warm bread blending harmoniously with discreet notes of ginger and coriander. The grapes used to produce this exquisite testament to winemaking are selected from the top crus in the Champagne region. 34% Pinot Noir, 33% Chardonnay, 33% Pinot Meunier.
